That's the problem, there doesn't seem to be one single fix. Cleaning the IAC resolved the issue for some. Others had issues with a temp sensor and others seemed to be caused by the initial throttle position setting. The X-Challenge issue thread is the best discussion of it all, but no one size fits all solution. I have a 640 adventure and really enjoy it, whereas the DR650 IMHO needs a lot of work (including suspension and a big bore kit) to be in the same league. That said, $9K for a 640A in the year 2018 is insane. Also, ride one first. The vibrations on the 640 ruin it for some people, whereas others don't care.
